Chrystabell and Mr. Lynch - long-time collaborators of the sublime - are releasing a new album on Sacred Bones Records called "Cellophane Memories”. The press release is very David Lynch: “The origin comes from a vision that David experienced during a nighttime walk through a forest of tall trees, over the tops of which he saw a bright light. As he recalls it, the light became the lilt of Chrystabell’s voice and revealed a secret to him.” The first single "Sublime Eternal Love” has a video and well, it’s also very David Lynch, with Chrystabell’s voice like a coiled serpent resting on the ripples of a minimal synth.  I’m guessing that when David eats breakfast and discusses the weather it’s also very David Lynch. No other adjectives are needed. But have you ever noticed how the people in his movies (and in this video) are turning their heads towards a light or a sound they can’t quite place? You can call that ‘eerie’. But you can call it ‘hopeful’, too.
