The new face of Polly Jean is at the door. And that door is called "A Child's Question, August”.
The lyrics lean into the lyrical poetry she’s been publishing recently and the video is a melancholy stroll down (someone’s) memory lane, directed by Steve Gullick, known for his iconic pictures of Kurt Cobain, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, etc. It’s a tender ditty bathing in autumn light, as foreshadowed in the upcoming album title "I Inside the Old Year Dying” (which I’m guessing is a reference to the poem “The Death of the Old Year” by Tennyson.
"I Inside the Old Year Dying” will be out in July on Partisan Records.
