The Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time film just came out as the final instalment of the cult Evangelion anime series and this is the theme song and final kiss farewell. The dream team tandem of Hikaru Utada (that voice!) and A. G. Cook (those synth arpeggios!) delivers a bittersweet pop gem of stunning purity. The video was directed via e-mail by SHIN Evangelion director Hideaki Anno and filmed by Hikaru herself in London to side-step COVID restrictions.
