Join KNOTORYUS at the MoMu Young Voices ‘MoNu’ Expo

The good people over at MoMu – Fashion Museum Antwerp are ready for you to meet their Young Voices. A group of 11 fashion and art stans under 30 who found their passionate kin through an open call from MoMu. On Saturday October 5 2019, they’re poised to take over Bar Chapel Antwerp for ‘MoNu’: a one-day-only exhibition zooming in on Twitter-finger-triggering topics such as gender and sexuality, racism and cultural appropriation, self-expression and intercultural dialogue. You love to see it!

The concept is fixed around young people providing a platform for other upcoming creators through an open-minded, diverse selection of Belgian-based creators such as designers-on-the-rise, photographers, illustrators and other visual or performance artists. Each one hand-picked for the way they handle and express pressing talking points of today, including queer identity, domesticity and gender roles, taboos and much more.

The artist line-up is the main course, of course. Gaze into the worlds of feted photographer Mous Lamrabat, artist Stef Van Looveren, fashion designer Linus Leonardsson, illustrator Paulien Verheyen, jewellery designer Lars Mathijsen, Insta-collective Taboob, graphic designer Laura Helmer, artist CASH and photographer Natalia Majchrzak. There’s also a bar and relaxation space where you can dish out your first thoughts as the expo shifts into a party from 8 PM onwards – featuring a fitting lineup of live performances and DJs.
