The greatest guy in skateboarding, LOCKWOOD owner Sven Aerts just released the first images of his global collaboration with VANS.
The drop of the 'VANS x LOCKWOOD Skate Pro'-pack marks the first time the legendary skateboarding brand has worked with a Belgian partner.
Twenty two years after naming his Antwerp store after mythical LA skateboarding spot Lockwood Avenue Elementary School, Sven Aerts and his fellow Lockwood team rider Yeelen Moens (who is also on the Vans Europe team) took a nostalgic trip rediscovering the infamous school grounds to break in two unique Vans Skate Pro models.
Both models come in a 'Skydiver Blue' and 'Silver Sconce' colour way, feature a chain link fence pattern referring to the Lockwood Elementary School grounds and the fences you have to jump get access and were designed by Antwerp-based graphic designer Ben Boliau.
The VANS x LOCKWOOD Skate Pro SK8-Mid (€ 90,00) and Skate Pro Authentic (€ 85,00) will be exclusively released in Europe at 8 premium skate shops on September the 15th with a pre-launch at LOCKWOOD skate shop Saturday September 8, 2018.
LOCKWOOD's in-store launch on September 8 will be accompanied by the premiere of the ‘Lockwood goes Lockwood’ video shot by Willy Crank. Additionally, an exclusive zine documenting the crew’s adventures LA will be made available.
