Kanye West - “Fade”

Kanye West - “Fade”

A lot of things happened at the 2016 MTV VMAs just a few hours ago.

Desiigner showed up wearing Devon Halfnight Leflufy FW16 boots.

Beyoncé cancelled everything mid-award show and performed half of Lemonade live.

Blue was her date.

And graced the red carpet with Lezley McSpadden, Gwen Carr, Wanda Johnson and Sybrina Fulton — the mothers of the late Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Oscar Grant, and Trayvon Martin, respectively.

Kanye West premiered a new video for FADE and when the caption  “Teyana Taylor” popped up, I was extra excited because TT been killing it.

Everybody’s talking about the obvious “Flashdance” references, but most of Twitter probably didn’t spend a day watching “The Cremaster Cycle” as one of the first dates with their now husband, thus missed Kanye’s nod to Matthew Barney whom he has shouted out as one of his idols on several occasions.
