Gone are the days of smuggling in my VitaminWater stash from London or New York. Last Thursday, the brand celebrated its official Belgian launch in Brussels. A joyous occasion indeed, for KNOTORYUS had been involved in the launch from the get-go, copywriting the Dutch version of the website, the flyers, the party invitations, etc. (another smooth collaboration with experiential marketing mavericks Demonstrate).
Epic night.
Pon the decks: DJ Muggs
Opening track: "Pon De Floor" by Major Lazer.
Pics and gossip after the jump.
Muggs with his fair lady.
Gossip pon de dancefloor:
The marketing account manager in charge of escorting Muggs during his brief stay in Brussels (he was flown in exclusively for the event), had the ungrateful task of finding out whether Muggs' playlist wasn't going to be too hard to handle for the crowd of higher-ups and powerful suits attending the party in droves that night. The brave man pleaded Muggs 'not to play too much... you know... hardcore hip hop'. Muggs' response? "It's OK, I don't like hip hop anyway."
The first ten minutes of his set included Major Lazer, DJ Kool, Beastie Boys, KRS One and plenty of hardcore Hip Hop. The crowd ate it up.
An on the spot knitting team (two middle-aged ladies in woollen hats) offered to knit you a personal VitaminWater hat if you wanted to have your drink al fresco (on the side walk terrace in front of the venue).
Before.
After.
