Bountifully talented artist Boris Zeebroek aka Bolis Pupul is dropping an album of his own. In the video for “Completely Half”, the first release off of upcoming spring 2024 EP “Letter To Yu”, Bolis traverses Hong Kong in search of his late mother. Artfully shot by Magnum photographer Bieke Depoorter, this first taste of the album sets the tone immediately. On the day Bolis arrived in Hong Kong 6 years ago, he visited the street where his mother was born and wrote her a letter - forming the centerpiece of his record as tribute to his family ties. With soul-searching lyrics laying bare feelings of shame, wonder and a forever love, Bolis captures the bittersweet familiarity of coming home to a place he belongs to but had never been before. Something special this way comes.
