There is a strange kind of sadness and defiance in the new Oneohtrix Point Never album that really connects to something in my brain. The video “Lost But Never Alone” by the Safdie brothers is partly inexplicable, partly perfect, channeling 90’s aesthetics with sitcom vibes blended with horror tropes. It’s a weird dopamine release, but so is most of their best work.
