Unless you’re not squeamish about entering the “body horror” part of the videostore, you should steer clear of Director Bertrand Mandico’s work, including this ultra-odd video for French cult-hero M83. The music is very Tangerine Dream, the visuals are psychedelica sci-fi erotica (so expect branch-like penises & masked creatures in the forest kissing and bursting out of their own skin), the lighting is lots of neon green, red and purple. It’s actually part 3 of a short film called “Extazus” and the music is part of the instrumental album DSVII, which is dropping today.
Written and directed by Bertrand Mandico.
Watch part 1 (Temple of Sorrow) and part 2 (Lune de Fiel) if you’re up for some more exploring in this universe.
