But if you’ve been paying attention to liner notes, you know he’s been churning out some of his best work behind the scenes, including his stint as executive producer for Solange and his top-notch soundtrack work on Luke Cage and Mudbound. The new joint is called “Jimmy Lee” and will feature Kung Fu Kenny and Tribe Called Quest. (This is a man who has Mary J. Blige and damn near all of Wu-Tang on speed dial, so …) The latest official drop is this “Glory To The Veins” and when you get past the faultless groove and lyrics, take a moment to listen just how rich this production is.
