After stomping around main stages for a few years with Moderat, Berlin-based Sascha Ring revives his Apparat project to put out more understated, emotional bleeps & twitches on LP5. The “Heroist” track is more of a pop ballad, swaddled in soft and welcoming sonic layers. The video is a 3D experience you can steer by clicking the controls on the top left while you tunnel across 3D deep space. Like George Bernard Shaw said: “To be in hell is to drift, to be in heaven is to steer.” (Pretty sure he wasn’t talking about Youtube 3D, though …)
