The Most Podcast - Episode 2: Dalilla Hermans
It’s Episode 2 of The Most podcast! Our guest this week is the most brave author and activist Dalilla Hermans. She visits the loft to sit down with her long-time friend Dominique to give the listener a glimpse into their friendship, their respective working and writing methods, stanning Michelle Obama, tolerance levels for racism and other forms of white audacity. Things get really real when they take a deep-dive into Dominique’s struggle to decolonize some of the memories of her youth and thought process and when it’s time to discuss loving someone who might be considered a problematic fave, it just gets loud.
Dominique explains why Dalilla had to be a guest on The Most: “She is one of the most brave and outspoken women I know. The past three years she has published three books within three different genres all the while raising three little children with her husband. I met Dalilla when she was still a student and I was working as a producer at MTV and we kept in touch. As the years went by she held jobs as a youth consultant and was involved in social work. I had no idea of the great thought leader she would become. I adored my conversation with her and because we are such good friends and we don’t code-switch with each other, you will be privy to a rather open and honest conversation.”
