Shabazz Palaces comes riding in on the light with two videos for previously released tracks from the concept double album “Quazarz”. In the eighties-inspired “Moon Whip Quiz”, a spirit is called forth from another dimension. In the trippy feminist heist-short “Julian’s Dream”, that spirit (Quäz) breaks into a pharmaceutical facility called “Shabazz” to liberate a newly developed but hushed body swap technique. I think. There’s a lot going on, here. Worth a watch, if only to remind yourself how good “Quazarz” still is.
