‘Clues (a speculative present)’ sees the worlds of artists Klaas Rommelaere and Frederik Heyman collide. The Antwerp-based dual show will present hyperreal 3D scenes from ‘the netherworld’ digitally animated by photogrammetry warlock Frederik Heyman and filled with the analogue, neo-folkloric imaginations of the enchanting Klaas Rommelaere and his crew of collaborators from a local elder care facility. These colourful hand-made sculptures are crafted using analogue psychographics, which involves the process of layering materials from people’s life stories and (re)writing them onto each other. ‘Ancestral rituals and matriarchal narratives’ run free in this exciting expo and a new, tactile universe will emerge from the fray.
