Belgian designer Gioia Seghers, award-winning La Cambre graduate, was robbed over Christmas and lost her entire collection of current prototypes and a large portion of her fabrics assortment. Nothing has been recovered so far, not good. Pushing forward, the designer is now organising a special event from February 1 until February 4 to raise funds to create the next collection.
You can feel like a patron of the arts and buy archive Gioia Seghers pieces or get a custom kimono made at Corner 41 in Brussels. You can also just pop in with a donation if you prefer or pick up a few materials at the atelier itself (Rue de Cureghem 30). This is a young, local brand in need of a hand so no better way to support than heading down over the weekend.
