Arca is going full on opera in his visuals for ‘Reverie’ as we see a bleeding bullfighter in a frayed and tattered upper bodice, trying keep his balance on artifical hoofs and fishnet stockings. Like the previous video for ‘Anoche‘, it’s an almost uncomfortably intimate and tender exploration of desire, death, self-doubt and the beauty of owning your struggle. There’s always flesh, young and bare and desirable, but there are also always wounds somewhere, sometimes healing, sometimes still fresh, sometimes fatal.
