Choice conscious streetwear brand, HYPEPEACE, has released a new hoodie collection poignantly titled “IMMIGRANT”. With four different versions, each addressing a specific country, the pieces aim to undercut nationalist and elitist capitalist culture through a pastiche souvenir sweater style.
Its main focus however is to celebrate immigrants living in countries like France, the U.K. and U.S. or Germany who know what it’s like to live with a shared identity. HYPEPEACE wants to represent immigration as something to be treasured as an enriching factor of society instead of something to fear or vilify.
As always, your purchase with the brand helps do good: 40% of profits (£10 per hoodie) will be shared with Help Refugees, an organization made up of everyday people who work to improve the lives of refugees.
